Moving hundreds of miles away to a new place is never easy. However, with the right realtor, it can be a lot easier.
I had the pleasure of meeting and working with the Lawrence Team while buying a home in the
Chattanooga area in the spring of 2008. As a young professional and first time homebuyer, I was not quite sure what to expect from the experience. The first day I met Doug Lawrence he devoted the entire afternoon to take me around the area without looking at any homes. We simply took a leisurely drive around much of
Hamilton
County. Doug made me feel comfortable immediately. Doug made a concerted effort to learn a bit about my personality and what type of home or setting I would feel most comfortable in.
Doug understood that I was not looking to get in over my head and we agreed to view properties in a price range that fit my budget. However, I still had many things on my "must have" list. This proved to be a challenge for me but not for Doug Lawrence. Doug worked tirelessly for several weeks to find properties that aligned with the criteria I had given him. Emails were sent by Doug on a daily basis containing new properties he had found and thought may be of interest to me. Doug arranged to show properties around my schedule and was always available to answer my questions or concerns.
When I finally found a place to call home it was listed by Doug’s wife, Sherry Lawrence. Having the opportunity to meet and work with Sherry only enlightened my experience further. Both Doug and Sherry kept an open line of communication and were always available for consultation.
Doug and Sherry have provided me with a sense of comfort in my new home. I feel comfortable calling Doug and Sherry at any time to inquire about anything – from who they recommend to make home repairs to where to eat locally.
